Pi Vielsted is an illustrator, graphic designer and craft maker who creates hand embroidered illustrations in her own design. Inspired by children's books from the 1950-60s and the Scandinavian design tradition, she depicts warm-hearted and recognizable everyday situations that put a smile on your face. Her images are simple and graphic in their expression, with whimsical and colorful details. They are hand stitched with a mix of embroidery techniques and different yarns to create at once both a tactile and original expression.

Pi Vielsted er illustrator, grafisk designer og kunsthåndværker, der skaber håndbroderede illustrationer i eget design. Inspireret af børnebøger fra 1950-60'erne og skandinavisk designtradition afbilder hun hjertevarme og genkendelige hverdagssituationer, der bringer smilet frem. Hendes billeder er enkle og grafiske i deres udtryk, med finurlige og farverige detaljer. De er syet i hånden med en blanding af broderiteknikker og forskellige garntyper for at skabe et på én gang både sanseligt og originalt udtryk.
