Beautiful unique cutting board made from leftover wood.
Jon Hune is an architect to the bone. He is creative, has a lifetime of experience and can see opportunities. Jon, as the surname may have revealed, is actually my father.
Over the years, he has made an incredible number of things with his hands for me, both in my own home and actually also in the shop. And as if that wasn't enough, I've had him make me a stack of cutting boards from leftover wood. Some of the wood comes from my uncle's old cherry tree, some is from the neighbor's discarded mahogany table and some is from their incredibly beautiful summer house, where there are remnants from both felling and construction. It is craftsmanship with raw amounts of love in creating it.
For many years he ran the architecture firm Hune & Elkjær, but already as a 19-year-old architecture student he designed his first house, my grandmother's and grandfather's. He then built the house together with my grandfather, who was a carpenter, bricklayer, blacksmith and inventor and taught him a lot. Now I try to learn a bit from him when the chance presents itself and otherwise I enjoy the beautiful things he still creates with his head and hands.
Smukke unika skærebræt lavet i resttræ.
