Coffee Beanie's knitting is a way out of poverty for a hard-working Burundian family. When an African knitter makes one hat a week, she doubles the entire family's income. In our fluffy alpaca wool blend, we've created a fuzzy headband that you can match with the other Coffee Beanies items. You can choose for yourself whether you are mostly into matchy colors or whether you think it is more fun to cross with e.g. a pair of mittens in some of the other glorious colors and surprise yourself and your surroundings with a cool personal twist.

The alpaca-wool mixture has become green from this year because the 18% polyamide is recycled. Alpaca wool tempers better than any other wool.

Coffee Beanies - Aimee Kjær Kofoed

Coffee Beanies produkter er hjælp til selvhjælp i verdens fattigste land. Visionen er "Work as the solution". Men ingen hjælp uden formidabelt garn og smukt design af de basics vi alle sammen har i vores garderobe. En hue og en sweater.

Coffee Beanies founder, Aimée var engang gymnasielærer. Et år lavede hun en konkurrence med en klasse om hvem, der kunne klare sig længst uden at købe nyt tøj. 1g'erne kastede sig ud i konkurrencen med krum hals.

Vinderen klarede det i et helt år. Aimée var mildest talt begejstret.

Dårlige vaner KAN ændres. Og de unge er vildt seje. Det vigtige for Aimée er, at det skal være nemt og sjovt, at gøre det rigtige.

Vi mennesker har brug for at gøre noget, der gør os glade. Somme tider er shopping den genvej. Den vane bliver nok umulig at fordrive. Men SKAL vi shoppe - så lad os gøre det med socialt ansvar.
