Pi Vielsted

Pi Vielsted is an illustrator, graphic designer and craftsman who creates hand-embroidered illustrations of his own design. Inspired by children's books from the 1950s and 60s and Scandinavian design tradition, she depicts heartwarming and recognizable everyday situations that bring out the smile. Her images are simple and graphic in their expression, with whimsical and colorful details. They are sewn by hand with a mixture of embroidery techniques and different types of yarn to create an expression that is both sensual and original at the same time.
